CFE 60,000 kVA Substation
One of the interesting facts about Monterrey Technology
Park is that it is poised to become the energy nucleus for the entire
northwest part of the Monterrey metropolitan area, specifically
the Cienega de Flores region and its surrounding smaller towns.
The reason for this is that a new power line, which is already being
erected, will stretch across the Salinas Victoria municipality and
will land at the MTP's electric substation for subsequent distribution
at lower voltage. All resident companies and newcomers will benefit
from an even better quality of electric power being that the substation
will ultimately supply the entire park grid. It is also worthy of
mention that the park's substation was built with a long-term vision.
For this reason our power plant is modular, which means it will
have the capacity of doubling its capacity to 30,000 kVA's in the
next few years should the demand for energy continue to increase. |

Well Water and Water Storage Tanks
The Park currently operates a total of six ground
water wells which can supply up to 40 liters per second. However,
the park's current usage is at about 5 liters per second which means
there is a vast reserve of available ground water for newcomers.
The park itself does not pre-treat the groundwater mainly because
not all companies require that the water be pre-treated. Each resident
company has its own specialized treatment process. The park also
has two water storage tanks that can together store a total of 300
cubic meters of water. This reserve can satisfy approximately two
days of water demand considering the park's current water usage. |

Sanitary Water Treatment Plant
The park's treatment plant was built on a modular
platform. There is currently one reactor which has the capacity
to receive an inflow of up to 5 liters per second. This plant is
specifically designed to treat sanitary water discharges which cover
both bathroom and kitchen discharges from all the residents. All
companies that generate waste water from an industrial process and
that must discharge this water outside their facility must treat
the water before discharging it towards the Park's storm drainage
canal located along the center of the medians. |

Telephone Network
The park boasts an internal Telmex line concentrator
with up to 8000 available phone lines. There is also infrastructure
available for the installation and operation of fiber optic technology. |

ATM for Public and Private Use
One of the more recent additions to our infrastructure
is a new ATM booth located on the main avenue. One of the main reasons
this service came to be installed was the need and desire from several
of the resident companies in wanting to handle their worker wage
payments through an ATM, thus avoiding the handling of large amounts
of cash. The bank which endorses the ATM is Banorte which is currently
the largest domestic bank operating in Monterrey. Therefore the
benefit is that the ATM can be accessed by anyone, which makes it
both a valuable HR amenity and also a public service plus. |

Landscaping and Irrigation System
In order to further develop an existing semi-arid
landscape, the park has used native plants and grass that do not
generate additional maintenance costs, to beautify the common green
areas. The park also has its own irrigation system which reutilizes
the treated water from the treatment facility, thus eliminating
additional water consumption costs for the park and its residents. |
